How can you make sure the leather is genuine?

Testing Alt

Water drop test:

Genuine leather absorbs water, so if the buyer puts a drop of water on it, it will absorb it, but if the drop of water is placed on a fake leather, the drop of water will remain on the surface of the leather, because despite the passage of a long time since the manufacturing process of fake leather, it could not be made The leather is able to absorb water because it is a natural characteristic of the leather.

the surface:

The surface shape of genuine leather is different from that of fake leather because genuine leather is made from animal skin; it will have cracks and blemishes on its surface, while faux leather, despite attempts to achieve this pattern, can achieve a suitable pattern from these cracks, but it will be clear that it is not real, but synthetic, and this is a method by which genuine leather is difficult to distinguish from fake.

Smell :

The difference between the smell of genuine leather and the smell of fake leather is that genuine leather has a distinctive smell, originally smelling musty and is enhanced to reduce this smell, while fake leather smells like plastic.

Bent:

It also has the bending properties of genuine leather; genuine leather can be bent, and when bent, its color will change slightly. As for faux leather, despite attempts at making it, they were unable to achieve this property. Artificial leather is difficult to bend and therefore does not change color.
